Convivium
A site-specific work traveling through seven locations as it tells the tale of a blind innkeeper’s daughter who quests for a princess’s love. Admission into Convivium asks audience members to bring food or drink for a potluck; at the end of the show, all are invited to feast together. At the heart of Convivium, is the concept of interdependence, a term drawn from the disability writing of Bell Gale Chevigny and the performance theory of Suzi Gablik. There are many points at which the show literally cannot progress unless the audience works as a combined organism.
